The linear park, which will stretch from the historic cemetery to the Downtown Connector, has been floating around for more than 50 years, but is now poised to break ground this fall.
A new linear park along Memorial Drive bringing a skatepark, roller skating plaza, and pump track will generate new foot traffic for restaurants near the Oakland Cemetery-to-Downtown Connector stretch, with construction beginning fall 2026 and first segment opening in 2027.
Groundbreaking fall 2026; first segment (Move) breaks ground next year (2027).
